You likely think of veterinarians as those who take care of your dogs and cats. Indeed, this is a big part of most vets' jobs. However, veterinarians also take care of large animals, such as livestock like horses and cows. They even care for zoo animals, like giraffes and elephants. Of course, vets have different specialties — some prefer to work on large animals, and others prefer to work on smaller species. In either case, they have to possess quite a wealth of knowledge in order to diagnose and treat animals. We share just a small fraction of that knowledge here.
