1. Flapping Their Ears
If your dog is flapping their ears and shaking their head a lot, it may be an ear issue. If your dog has an ear issue, you can take a look inside their ears. If you see a lot of black or brown gunk inside, it could indicate an infection. Your dog may also have red ears inside — they should be light pink. 2. Coughing

If your dog is having issues urinating or has trouble pooping, it could be because of a bladder infection or a blockage in their intestines. If your dog is having issues with urinating, medication is usually given to your dog to clear up the infection.
